1. Lagos de Covadonga

    The lakes of Covadonga are one of the natural jewels of the Principality. They are located in the municipality of Cangas de Onís and their main formations are two glacial lakes. Touring this environment of impressive beauty is usually combined with a visit to the Holy Cave to greet the patron saint of Asturias.

    2. La Catedral de Oviedo

    The Cathedral of Oviedo, erected in honour of San Salvador, is one of the great prides of the capital of the Principality. It is from the 15th century and has a Gothic style but is mixed with elements of other architectural styles. It has a single tower, which gives it a unique asymmetry. It was designed by Juan de Badajoz.

    3. Llanes

    The small town of Llanes stands on the edge of the Cantabrian Sea and has the Picos de Europa as a backdrop. Two geographical circumstances that already mark the beauty of this place that seems painted by an artist in shades of green and blue. The beauty of the landscapes and its important architectural heritage make this corner of Asturias a privileged tourist destination.

    4. Cudillero

    Cudillero, located on the central western coast of Asturias, 50 kilometres from Gijón, always appears on lists of the most beautiful towns in Spain. Its stepped and colourful houses, its viewpoints and its spectacular views of the sea, turn this small and beautiful villa into a jewel of the Principality.

    5. Ruta del Oso

    The popular Bear Route was born at the end of the 19th century as the path of a mining train that served for almost a century. It is one of the most spectacular hiking routes in northern Spain. There are almost 60 kilometers, between Tuñón and Cueva Huerta or Ricabo, to discover the wildest natural Asturias.
